Physical Description:
With shaggy dark blonde hair and blue eyes, Joshua is easily a good looking guy. He's not too tall, but not too short, not fat, but not skinny. His build is just average - a little bit of tone, but not so much that you'd mistake him for an athlete.
When he's not in his school uniform, he's most often found in jeans and t-shirts, though he will dress up a bit more to take a girl out - or other times when the situation calls for it.
Personal History:
There's not worth noting in this kid's history. He has two parents who love each other and a pair of sisters - one older and another who is younger than him, making him the middle child, which means it's always been a little difficult to get noticed. The youngest sister was the babied and spoiled one, the older was the one expected to set the good example and Josh just kind of slipped in the middle, neither coddled nor completely ignored.
His family isn't especially rich and once he was old enough to do so, he started working to earn a little extra spending money. It's hard to woo a girl if you're broke, right? He started out doing odd jobs, but has recently found a pretty decent part-time job working in a coffee shop. It's a good place to meet girls, he says, and it pays pretty well for a part-time gig.
He hasn't experienced his lovesong, yet, but when it does, he'll realize a few things:

He's destined to somehow screw things up, to have his girl ready to leave him shortly before they're to be married and he's going to have to fight to keep her.

He'll grow old with whoever it is he ends up marrying, but she'll outlive him. They'll have a long and happy life together, or so he'll choose to believe, full of happy memories, full of everything they've ever wanted in life.
For now, though, he's still searching for the girl to share all those things with. No matter how his friends and sisters tease him about it, it's the one thing he's absolutely certain he wants in this life - to fall head over heels, to love another person with his whole heart and soul and to spend his life making that person happy.

Joshua is a romantic, pure and simple. It might not be a usual thing to find a guy his age who dreams of finding an amazing girl to settle down with or who dreams of marriage and children and the kinds of things that little girls tend to dream of, but Josh dreams of those things.

He can get a little bit crazy and obsessive when it comes to love, though. Once Joshua sets his sights on a girl, it won't matter if she's free or taken, it won't matter if she rejects him at first - Joshua will pursue the girl relentlessly, he'll pull out every trick he knows to woo the girl and he won't give up until she's his.

All that aside, there's nothing extraordinarily special about him. He has his good moments and bad moments. He's a sweet boy, but he can be just as cruel as the next boy his age. He's a decent student, but nowhere near the top of his class. He enjoys sports, but he doesn't excel at them. He's just.. average.
Except for his ability to woo, of course. Not only is he persistent, but he had this innate knowledge of just how to sweep a girl off her feet. Maybe the execution isn't as smooth as he'd like it to be, especially at the young age of 16, but he knows the sorts of things he needs to do to win a girl's affections, generally - you know, once her gathers up the courage to actually start doing them. While he will stop at nothing to make a girl he likes his, he does have a side of him that's almost shy. Secret love notes and hidden roses will only get you so far before you have to talk to the girl - but once he overcomes that? What girl in her right mind could resist?
